Jonathan Collazo is a 1st year graduate percussionist in the Contemporary Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music. Jonathan has premiered and recorded dozens of new works involving percussion including commissions and transcriptions during his time at the Bard Conservatory, the University of Central Florida, and three summers at the So Percussion Summer Institute at Princeton University. In orchestras, Jonathan has toured to over 10 countries and worked with conductors and artists including Tan Dun, Valery Gergiev, Natalie Merchant, Maria Schneider, and with soloists such as Dawn Upshaw, Peter Serkin, Donny McCaslin, Bill Prince, Joshua Bell, and Eve Gigliotti. “I am passionate about inspiring all kinds of people to love and appreciate all kinds of music.
